John the Barber Tarpon Springs has been a trusted barbershop in Downtown Tarpon Springs, Florida since the early ’90s. Founded by John Broom, a master barber from Chicago, the shop was built on a simple standard: do it right, every time. In 2012, Steve Haun joined the shop and worked alongside John, learning the discipline and consistency behind its reputation. A few years later, he took ownership, continuing that same approach while supporting a team of skilled barbers carrying it forward.
Today, the experience remains what people expect from a true neighborhood barbershop. Men’s haircuts, skin fades, beard trims, and straight razor shaves are done with precision and consistency.

Steve has spent over 30 years in the barbering industry, building his craft through hands-on experience, continued education, and work across both corporate and independent barbershops.
After joining John the Barber Tarpon Springs in 2012, he trained alongside founder John Broom, refining his approach to precision cutting, fades, and traditional barbering techniques. His experience spans classic men’s cuts, tapers, and clean, reliable finishes that clients can count on.
Today, his focus remains on maintaining the standard the shop is known for while supporting the next generation of barbers in Tarpon Springs.
Erica Mulrooney
Erica brings over 20 years of experience as a barber, specializing in bald fades, skin fades, tapers, beard trims, gentlemen’s cuts, and modern styles.
Originally from Illinois and Indiana, she relocated to Florida in 2020 and quickly became a trusted barber within the Tarpon Springs community. She stepped into an established client base without missing a beat and built strong relationships of her own.
Known for her precision and consistency, Erica delivers clean, detailed work that keeps clients coming back.
